My latest hand-knotted wool and silk carpet, "Cross my Heart", was inspired by the hair raising heart-surgery ordeal of my beloved next door neighbour. For the entire month of August, what started out as simple elective surgery turned into a rather frightening ordeal. All turned out well in the end, and this carpet is in honour of my neighbour and her strength.
